The brilliance of all Thule Fixpoint systems is that you can leave the adapter kit attached to your vehicle's roof, only needing to remove the roof bar feet and crossbar assembly. Meaning you can easily and quickly fit and remove your roof bars in a matter of minutes. Removing the bars when not in use reduces drag and is more efficient. 

This is where the product comes into play, it's important that the fixpoints are kept clean and stay clean. These foot pack covers do just that when you aren't using your bars, these special covers, fit with the torque key supplied with the foot pack. Meaning you only need one tool when removing your bars and fitting these, they simply slide on over the fixpoints still attached to your roof and then locked into position with the torque key. Keeping your fixpoints clean and safe.
