Ford Transit Connect Ford Van Accessories &
Parts
A popular van from Ford, complimenting the
large and medium vans in their range by offering a
compact and more car-like drive. The Transit Connect
started in 2002 and has grown but designed alongside
its car counterpart, ideal for those that need to
transport equipment or goods without the bulk that a
Custom or Transit gives.
Taking its roots from
the Ford Escort van that is so familiar, the Connect is
ideal for everyday life, giving great versatility and value
for money. Updated in 2010 as a facelift, the Connect
grew in following being used by couriers and trades
alike, but also those that wanted a vehicle to complete
journeys during the week and venture at the weekends.
The basic but boxy design had potential for a fantastic
day van, the high roof models gave more convenience
too.
The brand new design in 2014 followed
the style of smaller Ford cars, and maintained aesthetics
whilst updating comfort features and technical
advantages, the more aerodynamic profile helped with
fuel efficiency and increased the sporty appeal, not
something that you can get from a normal Ford Transit
van. Long wheelbase options allow for the potential of
being able to sleep in your van, with the Transit Connect
Grande being added into the range, it was now viable to
be used as a light campervan, or even just for more
storage.
The latest incarnation of the Transit
Connect has proven very popular, and with consumers
demanding more from their vehicle, Volkswagen and
Ford teamed up to collaborate with the newest version
of the Transit Connect and Caddy vans. Incorporating
the latest comfort features, engines and options, it’s a
great avenue for anyone that doesn’t want a bulky and
cumbersome full-sized van, but still wants the potential
for anything!
The latest engines offer
increased economy whilst being able to give great
reliability, sporting the highly popular German
engineered engines, what’s not to love?
Available with both twin door and tailgate models,
and the Tourneo version being able to seat more people,
it’s a versatile option for people who had never
considered the smaller van market previously.
