VW Transporter T7 2025-
Thermal Blinds
Let’s face it, whether you’re travelling
abroad to a warmer climate or
staying in the United Kingdom, you're
going to face changeable and
potentially less than comfortable
weather conditions. The first moment
getting back into a vehicle when the
sun is beating down can be
uncomfortable, or waking up in your
camper and finding the temperatures
have dropped overnight—it’s not
ideal.
While you might take
precautionary steps to insulate the
body of your van, filling nooks and
crannies in large bodywork panels,
it’s important to note that windows,
being mostly glazed, are inefficient at
insulating your living and sleeping
area. This can leave your van
exposed to both hot and cold
temperatures. But there’s an easy
solution—tailored thermal blinds!
By creating an insulating
layer between your windows and the
space inside the van, you can help
prevent extreme temperatures from
transferring and improve the
efficiency of any air conditioning or
heating you might have.
The thermal blinds from
Vanstyle feature a dual-layer system.
One side has a heat-reflective silver
lining that helps reflect heat out
during the summer and keeps
warmth in during colder weather. The
alternative side is a black liner
material, which serves as both a
backing and helps attract heat in
winter. Sandwiched between these
two layers is an air pocket system,
which stops heat transfer from the
cold windows, ensuring that the
warmth inside your van isn’t sapped
by harsh outside conditions.
Installation is a breeze.
The blinds are designed with tailored
holes that allow you to attach strong
suction cups, making it quick and
easy to attach them to the inside of
your window. This means it takes
seconds to put up or take down these
blinds—perfect for those who want to
set up camp and get some rest
without hassle. Their easy-to-use
design means no modifications to
your van are required; they are a
direct fit.
We understand that vans
come in different layouts, which is
why our blind sets are available
separately. This allows fitment to a
variety of camper conversions and
those who have converted panel vans
into day vans or touring vehicles. If
your van doesn't have rear windows,
our front window set will fit perfectly,
covering the large front windscreen
and both side front windows.
FAQ:
Q: Can I use thermal blinds
whilst driving?
A: We highly recommend against
using the front blinds while driving.
While people often use rear blinds
while parked, it's always best to
ensure you have full visibility while
on the road. Only use the blinds
while parked.
Q: I have a long wheelbase
Transporter T7, do these blinds fit?
A: Most windows are the same
regardless of wheelbase length, but
we suggest checking the product
specifications just in case. The rear
quarter windows do differ. It’s also
worth checking whether your van has
a tailgate or twin rear doors, as this
may affect the product fit.
