TRANSIT CUSTOM MK2 2023-
SIDE STYLING
Seeing a blank space on your new
Ford Transit Custom, at Vanstyle we have all the
accessories you need to scratch the itch as well as
making your van more functional too.
The all-
time favourite accessory for both style and substance is
without a doubt, side steps and bars. Allowing entry into
your van easier, or even being able to access to roof
storage that bit more reachable, side steps mount under
the sills to give a tread platform. Using strong brackets
designed to fit without needing to drill or modified your
chassis, you can fit these boards easily to all length of
wheelbase, and with a choice of styles to look at, you’ll
be sure to find the right look for your van.
Cheaper styles might be slightly shallower, which
give a minimalist look without being too bulky, but we’d
recommend something like the Rufford side steps,
giving a high-quality aluminium body construction, an
integrated anti-slip tread plate, and two colourways to
choose from. All our steps are available in both silver
and black, meaning you can personalise your steps to
match in with the chosen style in mind.
The
Thoresby style step has been used on most of our
vehicle fitments, including the notorious Transporter
range, incorporating wear resistant plastic inserts to
give high traction, but still using an aluminium body
allows for a low weight with good capacity limits. Fitting
between the front and rear wheel gives step coverage
for sliding and front doors, so even if it’s just for the
driver and passenger on a working van, it’s still a great
increase in practicality and almost essential on vans
with lift kits fitted.
If you’re heavy on your
van and want to help protect the high traffic areas, sill
protectors help limit damage in the entry to your front
cabin. An easy and effective product that when fitted, is
almost unnoticeable, but silently resists against paint
and surface damage from wear and tear.
Styling options such as side skirts give a finished
look to those that have front and rear splitters fitted,
simply attaching to the underside of your sills, they
absolutely cannot be fitted with steps but look great
with a lowering spring kit fitted!
Polished
garnishes like side streamers give a bit of class in a
world of black and white accessories. Extend the style
with an easy install window trim cover set too,
constructed using stainless steel for corrosion resistance
and minimum maintenance for a great look.
FAQ:
Q: How heavy duty are your side steps?
A: The steel brackets and strong aluminium step
bodies are designed to be used on a daily basis, but we
wouldn’t recommend the entry level aluminium steps for
heavy use, like a taxi vehicle would need.
Q:
Can I fit side steps myself?
A: Of course, although
only you know your own limits. They’re designed to be a
direct fit to your Transit Custom MK2 for an easy
installation, but if you’re not confident then you can get
a professional to fit it.
