The Fastest Transit Fords Ever Built!

Meet Ford’s New SuperVan, the 4th iteration of the world-famous one-off vans, boasting 2000HP with Ford saying it is around half a second quicker to 62mph than Bugatti’s Chiron!

The official name is the Ford Pro Electric SuperVan, or the SuperVan 4 is the fourth Ford utility van to be built as a race car, the first SuperVan stuck a Transit bodyshell on a GT40 chassis back in 1971. Now with all the modern advancements and electric vehicles now entering into racing series, Ford Performance collaborated with Austria-based electric race and rally specialists STARD to bring the super-powered show-and-tell vans into the future with an all-electric design.

Apart from running fast, Goodwood hill climbs this van can be set up for multiple uses, ford wants this van to be versatile and can be set up for hot laps, or to be a dragster, or to drift about burning its tyres, or maybe even a bit of rally punishment.

This is a 2,000 horsepower, ultra-high-techone-off racing vehicle. And, surprisingly, it’s a van. An all-electric one, at that. Unveiled at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Ford Pro Electric SuperVan is the fourth vehicle in our legendary SuperVan line-up. The first three used engines from Ford’s racing cars, but this all-new version is the first to be fully electric.

The stats on this vehicle are insane, running up Goodwood Hill with a time of 46.58 Seconds. Some other interesting facts from the run.

100m – 4.21 Seconds
Int.1 – 20.98 Seconds
Int.1 Speed – 125.3MPH
Flint Wall – 34.36 Seconds
Finish Speed – 138.9MPH

Check out the run for yourself below!

Its wild look is inspired by the recently-announced new E-Transit Custom, including the lower, wider proportions and design signatures such as the front light bar.

The body is built from the same lightweight composite materials used in racing cars and features advanced aerodynamics to pierce the air and push the Electric SuperVan into the track for maximum performance.

Shame this is a one-off built as we’d of loved to have seen local delivery services running these, think of the delivery times!

Left: The £40,000 Ford E-Transit Custom you can buy from a dealership. Right: The one-of-a-kind Supervan 4, which uses the same floorplan and some of the components from the E-Transit

All in all, the new Supervan has more than three times the horsepower of any previous Supervan, all wrapped up into an E-Transit Custom … or something resembling one.
