These steps are designed for relatively light duty use, so those working their vehicles hard such as taxi drivers might prefer to look at a more heavy duty solution.

The Rufford side step, also available in black or silver provides an extended platform providing easier access for passengers. This wider profile offers additional protection against damage to the lower section of the vehicle. The steps are light, so there’s virtually no impact on the payload you can carry, and, once again, plastic end caps take the brunt of any knocks.

Adding additional functionality, the Thoresby side step includes stylish slip resistant plastic inserts. These not only protect the step itself from scrapes and scratches from footwear, they also aid safe entry and exit for passengers who are less likely to lose their footing on a slippery or wet surface. Again, black or silver are available.

For the ultimate Vanstyle side step, opt for the Walesby side step. Once again, you’ll benefit from the practicality and protection offered by the textured plastic tread plates, and the black version is powder coated providing protection against corrosion. The black is designed to complement the other accessories for the Transit Custom available from Vanstyle, but if you prefer a shinier appearance, the Walesby is also offered in a bare silver aluminium finish.
